Google reports that the Android Auto app will stop working soon.
Will it affect the operation of Carsifi?
As far as I know there are 3 versions of Android Auto:
Android Auto for Phones: Basically a driving assisted version for displaying maps etc on your phone, to be used with a phone cradle and your phone only.
Android Auto: Mirroring your phone onto your car’s screen, where the phone does all the work.
Android Automotive: A newer version which doesn’t require a phone perse, all the processing and display happens on your car’s infotainment screen.
I think you may be reading about AA for Phones, I doubt Google would kill off AA anytime soon, they have just invested in releasing the new Coolwalk version of AA. I’ve heard rumors of AA being sort of combined into the “Driving Assistance” icon on Android though.
